Cake. Happy, sweet, joyous cake! A universal favourite dessert that brings back such fun times I had at parties while growing up. The Elegant Chalkboard Tray to display martinis was such a hit, I thought why not make one to display cake.
I had an extra silver plastic tray purchased at the dollar store. I painted it in a cream paint, printed out the letters and traced them onto the tray. For the tutorial on how to transfer letters onto your project look here. I painted in the letters with black paint and now have this elegant, vintage looking tray to display cake on my server.
I can’t wait until our next party where I will have many pretty cakes, with brightly coloured frosting, all sitting on top of various cake pedestals with the painted cake display featuring them!
